Hearing your child’s first nature is a big milestone, but when you’re the mother of an autistic , non-verbal youth, the working day may never meet. So where reference is did come for one baby of a non-verbal offspring, it wasn’t just a milestone, but a miracle.
Briana Blankenship from Athens, Alabama, was told that her daughter, Taylor, would never address, but earlier this week, Taylor testified physicians wrong and said her first words at the age of five.

Taylor has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder. This affects the acces she reads, contacts, and is working with others. As a reaction, Briana had accepted that she would never listen her daughter’s voice.
” We communicate with limited sign language and gesticulates ,” Briana explained.” We also have an iPad that is locked so that the only platform she can access is a communication program called LAMP .”
” LAMP is what she uses to complete work in clas and because of this, she is excellent at spelling especially for a five-year-old ,” she added. Taylor is in an inclusion kindergarten class. She likewise participates in gymnastics categories, which have helped her to follow instructions.
The gymnastics have also helped with her engine skills and have aided in stopping her tiptoe walk-to, which is common among children with autism. It was on the way to one of these gymnastics grades that the supernatural happened.
Briana has pointed out that she was running a little late for the class so decided to go to a fast food drive-thru to make sure Taylor had something to eat first.
” We rarely devour fast food so she recognized that she was about to get her favorite nutrient, French fries, and started get stimulated and chortling in the back seat ,” she spoke.” That’s when I sounded her say it. I beat my ability around and invited’ Did you just say Momma ?’ and she looked at me and said it again .”
It was at this moment that Briana hammered out her telephone and started recording the video that has now moved viral. After she finished, she said she” broke down in tears” at evidencing her daughter’s first words.
” I went and parked my vehicle after get our nutrient and immediately called my husband and then my mother. I didn’t have time to call anyone else before class started so I promptly announced the video to my Facebook page and called our house in it ,” she said.
It was from here that the video began to be shared and soon Briana’s inbox was fitted with letters from other parent education autistic progenies, telling Briana that her video offered them hope or established them experience less alone.
” We have had so many sends from parties that we are giving them hope for their loved ones, or “that weve” moving them feel less alone in the daily battles of parenting a nonverbal offspring. It has also opened up those discussions for countless parties ,” she revealed.
” I’ve had dozens of meanings from people saying stuffs like’ Please don’t magistrate me but I have no idea what Autism is and that it could cause someone to have the inability to speak. Where can I learn more? ‘” Briana added.
