A New Jersey woman wanted to help a adult at her regional convenience store who was short a few dollars. Little did she know that human was country music superstar Keith Urban.
On Friday, retired educator Ruth Reed was standing in line at a Wawa in Medford, New Jersey, when a male customer expected a fellow patron if she had any currency.
“It looked like he was using a placard and it didn’t run through and then he expected a young lady for$ 5, ’” Reed told CBS Philly.
Reed overheard and jump-start in to aid. She said that for the last several years she has impelled it a resolution to pay for someone’s buys at Wawa at least once a week.
“He thanked me and queried my mention, ” Reed wrote on a Facebook pole shared by a former student. “I asked him his and he told me it was Keith. I said that he did was like Keith Urban. He said he was.”
But Reed was suspicious and told me that she got a little “snippy” with him.
“I didn’t feel him, ” she wrote. “I ask him where Nicole[ Kidman] was and who was the female[ he was with ]. He told me it was his sister.”
Urban, who was in town for a concerted effort at BB& T Pavilion in Camden on Friday, told Reed she could request his bodyguard for confirmation.
“It was then I realized what an jackas I was, ” she contributed.
The two then took a photo together. She was also pointed out that the vocalist was “gracious.”
“And he genuinely could have said,’ Lady, get away from me, ’ and he didn’t, he was very kind, ” Reed told CBS Philly.
